I just realized, this is a model "Ship" forum but there's no section for non-naval ships. What about Model Starships for instance. So I posted this thread on the "What-if" Section to ask about it. There should be a separate section for "non-naval" ships like my Imperial class Star Destroyer, or my Battletech Texas Class Battleship.

You're not asking for "non-naval ships", you're asking for space ships. We have room for non-naval non-space ships (e.g. civilian ships that float on water) in the Amphibs and Transports section: viewforum.php?f=51

The term "Naval" as you use it is as a general term to refer to Sea based military branches. The term as I was using it, as an adjective, means anything "sea based". I was including civilian water ships in that  . A Starship is still a ship, says so in the name. I have several friends who might like to discuss this topic here, unless there's a general ban on such things?

Exactly, and however you stretch it, space is not sea.

I'll ask Tim about whether spaceship discussions are allowed in this section, but I doubt it.

This one won't let anyone register and I can't find a "contact us" to ask why - may be a dead forum.

It's not dead. I go there all the time. I'll ask over there what the problem is.

We've come to the conclusion that, unfortunately, starships are outside the scope of discussion in this forum section. However, if you have finished models, feel free to post it in this Picture Post -> "not a ship" thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=35708
