After offloading most of her powder magazine on 4 and 5 December, the explosion that could have destroyed her heavily damaged turret 2 and most of her superstructure.

She’s shown here in her 1941 version, and in 1945 as she looked bombarding Okinawa.

This was actually going to be the Oklahoma until I realized I didn’t want to deal with the casemates in the hull.

That's a really cool conversion idea! South Dakota kit for the superstructure?

I like the way she looks - Nevada's modifications post Pearl would be a good guide.

Will there be a blister added to the hull?

I ended up going with the Oklahoma. No, I obviously didn’t mess with the casemates in the hull.

Nevada and Pennsy got the 5”/38 treatment, without blisters- so I ran with that. Since the whole superstructure was removed during salvage, she did get rebuilt.

The Tennessee, California, West Virginia 114’ width did cross my mind, but again, too much work for this fellow. I figured the New Mexico class never were completely overhauled as BuShips planned, nor were the Colorado/Maryland.

In my world she was rebuilt at minimal cost- only the hull repairs, new superstructure and fire control/AA armament were completed.

what scale? I think she would have used the Nevada type superstructure not the South Dakota's as cheaper & easier to do.
I used Revell's 1/429 scale Arizona to do the California as rebuilt. download/file.php?id=101074&mode=view
just started another Arizona to do the rebuilt West Virginia.

1/350. Nevada was rebuilt around existing superstructure, OKs was removed before she was refloated.

I’ve seen your work, let me know when you want to kitbash me a 1/350 Tennessee hull...

Nevada's existing superstructure was replaced by new superstructure from the 01 deck up with the 01 deck being modified for the 5" twin gun mounts. even the original stack was modified. what time period for the Tennessee?
