Hello,

I am about to paint my model ship, I have her primed..... but more then likely going to prime again. Stuck with a question:
I do not have the lower hull attached to the upper hull. My thought was to fully paint the lower hull, this way the black stripe would be nice and straight. And it would save me time from masking the hull from other paint overspray from the upper hull.

However, I am a little worried about gluing it all together and having the glue possibly getting on the finish

I have dried fit the two pieces together and there are no seams, a perfect fit

Just want to know what other people do and what are your suggestions.....thank you!! :wave_1:

If the lower/upper seam is accessible from the top of the upper hull (assuming you haven't glued the deck down yet), then it's possible to glue the hull halves from the inside after you've clamped them together mechanically. This would prevent the glue from being squeezed outside the hull as it's glued together.
