Question for a build using overall #5 Gray with #250 Deck Gray. The #5 has a blue hue to it, and isn't a problem as I have a bottle of the Testors acryl that works perfectly. I can't locate any #250 in acrylic, though, so have to mix it. Dark gray from Vallejo will work just fine, but should I be looking for a blue hue to it as well, or is a very dark gray going to get me close enough?

Tamiya's 'Field-Blue' (Feldblau) XF-50 might be pretty close. :wave_1:

I'm trying to stick with Vallejo and Model Master, but thanks for the suggestion. I did a look at a paint conversion database and it says that the Tamiya "Field Blue" is close to several Vallejo colors that I already have. I hadn't thought of using the "Camo Extra Dark Green" for a deck color, but it may work...

You could always start with one of MM's blue grays and add white or black until you get the desired shade? Just look for one that starts with FS35 and not 36 and go from there.

Medium Gray (FS35237) or USN Blue Gray M-485 might be a good start.

As a clarification, the deck gray I was going for was #20, not #250. My mistake.

I ended up doing a 1:1 mix of Vallejo Model Air Dark Gray Green and Dark Sea Gray and got something that's a really dark gray with a slight blue/green tint to it. Exactly what I wanted.
