Hello Ship Modelers,

I've just received an Atlantic Models 1/350 HMS Gorleston kit and have a quick ask if the darker colour for the vessel (a Banff Class ex USCG Cutter) as indicated by Mal Wright - "1941 Blue" (B5?) is credible, rather than the 507A given by WEM/Atlantic Models? One wonders where many of the colour call-outs in that book come from.

Cheers

I am unaware of any vessels painted in overall B5.

I'm not saying they didn't exist, but if one is claimed to have existed I would expect to see strong supporting evidence for that.

Thanks James but the point was whether the darker of the two colours (the lighter being 507C) could have been "1941 Blue" according to Mal Wright rather than 507A. Mmmm...
