 Post subject: Paints (HMS Rodney)

I want to do the HMS Rodney in the 507 gray and was wondering if anyone had paint recommendations. Some I have been looking at:

Colourcoats. Flat finish enamel paint.

Scalecolors. New company out of Wisconsin. Acrylic water base semi gloss.

Trucolor Acrylic solvent paint. Semi glass. Great paints, but colors seems off at least in IJN.

AK Navel Acrylic flat finish.

My ideal paint would be a semi gloss lacquer, but I don’t see any available.

You can always spray everything afterwards with a clear semi-gloss coat. That way you can use whatever paint you can access or feel comfortable handling.
