I located some US Navy Photo compilations "Japanese Navy in 1894" at history.navy.mil
https://www.history.navy.mil/content/hi ... 88895.htmlhttps://www.history.navy.mil/our-collec ... 88896.htmlhttps://www.history.navy.mil/content/hi ... 88897.htmlDo you think you can trust them?
Also, on many ships the funnels/superstructures are darker, would it be buff or grey? Also, what I consider white could be light grey?
From what I could see the list is:
Yoshino - white, black stripe, darker funnels and superstructure
Naniwa - white overall except for a narrow dark strip on the side
Takachiho, Akitsushima, Itsukushima, Matshushima, Hashidate, and Fuso - same as Yoshino
Chiyoda - white without any black stripes, darker funnels and superstructures
Hiei - black with white border and light colored superstructures? Classic victorian? Or white over black? Or Buff over black?
