Greetings.

In many photographs taken shortly after the end of the war in 1946, both in black and white and in colour, ships of the Royal Navy and Allied fleets operating from Great Britain are painted a light gray color. Does anyone know what colour this is and what model paint to best match this colour?

Thank you in advance!

For the Royal Navy in 1946 the light grey would be Pattern 507C, exactly the same as used immediately before WW2. NARN 22 in the Sovereign Hobbies 'Colourcoats' paint range.

Please remember that this photo of yours is colorised - the original was black and white.
