I'll join this group build!

Lexington class is waiting for me...:D
My shipyard started working on 3 Lexington class Cv....

A trumpy 1/700 Lady Lex (full hull)
A trumpy 1/700 Sister Sara (waterline diorama while moored)
A trumpy 1/700 Lady Lex to be converted in a 1943 Sister Sara (hard and long work...)

and, these 3, are maybe the last carriers i'll ever build....

I thought that I would initiate the new thread for the Carrier Builders this year. I have to complete a CV-6 Enterprise Airwing and the Kittyhawk still. Next after that may be the Antietam.

Hey Mark, Just for giggles & grins :heh: You might want to edit the first post to include what types of ships are acceptible. ie: Avery said something about Seaplane tenders such as the USS Pine Island (AV-12) or, is this strictly for CVs? Just thinkin' of those who may wish to join :thumbs_up_1:

I'll step off my soap box now.

A valid point. It might be interesting to see what different peoples perception of what an Aircraft Carrier is.

Would a 'Phase II' Iowa along the lines of Rusty White's Tinian (http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery ... index.html) count? It would be carrying Harriers :wave_1:

Ok kewl!! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: my uncle Ernie was abd her from 1969-72. iirc he was the helmsman. Use ta bring her into SF Bay as she was Homeported at NAS Alameda. I use to go and watch her sit outside the GGB tear down the Conn and wait for low tide to enter the bay...
