Subject:This one is open to any civilian ship such as Passenger Liners, Cargo Vessels or Special Duty Ships. It also covers ships that were used as Troop Transports, War Material Transports or Hospital Ships. Any ship used in service of it's country during the Cold War Era, should be entered in the
Cold War Build, otherwise civilian ships of this time period should be entered here. What If's are ok here as well as long as they fall into preceding criteria
Rules for Builds:
You may choose to build any scale, kit, scratchbuild or kitbash, dioramas are allowed, however the focus should be the entered build. Only the ship built as an entry will be judged unless ship is alone in a seascape at which time total presentation will be taken into account. Super detailed or OOB, doesn't matter, just have fun and share!
I don't want to way this down with lot's of rules, just as one good pirate would say, "They're more like Guidelines" to keep everything neat and organized so we all can enjoy and have fun.
-Only one entry per builder per category, you may enter into all 3
-Only builds from registered board members will be allowed
-If you are building a Cold War Era Destroyer or Transport, please enter it into the "Cold War" group build
-Final judging is final
-All builds must be started on or after the start date and be completed by or on the end date to qualify for contest. All builds however that fall into the categories that have already been started or will not be completed till after due date are welcome however to share.
-Any questions or concerns with these rules may PM me
-Keep it friendly and fun!
There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category. There will be an award to the builder that shows the most group spirit during the builds. At the end of the allotted time for each build, the 1st place entry chosen from each category will go into the finals for the grand prize.
This build will run from April 15, 2011 thru October 15, 2011I will post updates here into this message to keep anything important right on top, so please check back every once and awhile.

The awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. These are really nice as they hang on a lanyard or that can be removed and they will lay flat or in their display box. They are 2.5 inches across and fairly heavy.
