Dear Admiral,

my father got also prostate problems, the doctors recommended to pull his prostate out but he refused to, he said that he was born with it and he would be buried with it ...

He then got such a medicamental treatment, don't remember the name,to slow down the prostate cancer, this medication worked very good , but the side impact is not to be underestimated, his kidneys went south after a few months of getting this prostate cancer fighting medics, and he had to go to the dyalisis machine for the rest of his life.

He passed away a few years after that, still going to the dialysis machine, he was then 80...

on the other side, my father in law got just the same problems, at the age of 73, he decided to get his prostate out, which happened, he also got the habitual oncologic treatments ( chemio & rays ) and he's full back on business...

I don't know what you decided, but if it was me, I'd get that "seed bag" out of my body, should such cancer occur !

Regards,

Laurent

I really hopre everything turns out just fine and that you will cntinue to be as healthy as possible...

The illness requires you to be very optimistic and even more aggressive than it. In my humble opinion, the illness messed with the wrong guy...

I wish you the best and my prayers are with you.. I really hope that when I return from my deployment in September to read good news and perhaps some progress...

Do not let the beast ame you... Fight back... :wave_1: :wave_1: :wave_1:

Hey Ron!

How are you?

With the sunshine breaking through even in this rainy Island of ours--has the enthusiasm to sail your fleet arisen?

--even if the thought of construction seems a less inviting proposition?

Certainly sitting alongside a pond, flask of sweet tea and a sunny day with a large warship steaming around would make an attractive day I reckon..!

| actually found myself sailing the other day....

Not just waterline for me - no Siree...!

Sorry to hear the news Ron, and my apologies for taking so long to getting around to catching up on your thread!

Keep your chin up, and try not to dwell on the bad news. In addition to positive thoughts, remember that laughter is the best medicine - seriously, have you ever seen a hyena with cancer? Go rent some old comedies, that oughta help! :wave_1:

Just scanned thru your build, Very nice work and on a great subject too. I have been thinking of building in 1/72. I have only so much room for models. Your DD looked really good on the water.
Again, Great job.
