Hello!

My name is Arthur, I'm from Poland, I'm new here :) Mainly , I'm a S-F and WHAT-IF modeller with growing interest in ships. A friend from other site recommended me this forum 'cause I have to rebuild very old model. Now I'm pretty sure that you can help me with this task:) I build few ships in my modelling career :) Now I have two completed models. First of them is I-401 by Doyusha, 1:300. Weak model , more a toy than scale sub. I've upgraded it a bit. Railings are made of cooper wire. From kit, only hull, conning tower and Seiran were used. Rest is scratchbuilt with help of "I-400. Japan's secret aircraft-carrying strike submarine" book. Painted with Humbrol and weathered with oils.
This is not RC model but still floating, I thought that photos on water would be more realistic. Hope you'll like it :)

It looks very nice and even though you say it is very toy-like, the quality of assembly and painting is such that it appears like a real sub. I didn't know of this kit either, so I thank you for sharing it.

Posing it on the water was a nice touch also. :cool_1:
