They do not look all that good close-up. It shows up all the errors and bad bits. They are not meant to be viewed close-up anyway. They are supposed to be viewed from a couple of feet away as a whole. Perfect miniatures may fetch $10,000 or more, but I am at the other end of the range of only a few hundred dollars.

No, can't say that I have recovered. I have been building it since September, often having weeks off between working on it.
I was glad when it was completed. Declared it finished on Wednesday, sold it to someone in the US who saw it on my blog on Thursday. I will be sorry to see it go so soon though!
Wrote a book between building spells on the Mary Isabel, nothing to do with ship models, but it made a great change and kept me busy, and I enjoyed it. Also worked on a model log cabin (Alaska 1898) that again was a pleasant change.
