Hi everyone, so this build is almost finished but I figured id start documenting the rest of it on hear, when completed it will have full functional bb gun turrets that rotate, fpv cameras that track with the guns, an auto balance counter weight that compensates for the weight of all turrets training to port or starboard, functional lighting, and of course regular rc mobility, I cant figure out how to resize pics but I figured out utube and posting videos lol, so I took a quick one of the turret setup so you can see how I did it http://youtu.be/7dUPCg3HOd0 |

Got a lil more done today, hooked up the pressure bottle manifolds for the cannons, and installed my 12v smoke generator, it runs in conjunction with the motors, emitting more smoke the more throttle you give it, its just going wide open in the video because i just plugged it into the lipo directly just to show everyone. Its actually mounted to the bottom of the hull, but the output tube lines up with ducting in the deck to direct the smoke out the stack https://youtu.be/80MkCClWOf4 |

Hi. Is that Bismarck a scratch-build? Or a Trumpeter. PS. I am contacting the board administrator to help getting back my account!! Something had gone wrong after I reset my email address and password in the account setting and thereafter couldn't log in to my account.... Regards, Aop. |

Its a 1/200 trumpeter model, but I had to drastically alter the hull to accommodate the turret rotation servos and the bilge keels are bigger and made outta lead to help with stability since the turrets are quite heavy. |

Did some more work td, got the turret auto list control installed, still tweeking the gyro on it to make it a bit more efficient (its a bit slow) and my battery is a bit weak too, but you get the idea, as the ship lists form the weight of the turrets training to each side, the counter weight compensates but rolling to the opposite side, hears a video of it https://youtu.be/RqZiARShrbM |

What an ambitious project--since your firepower represents a direct threat to my fleet, I reserve the right to fire back. If I should hole your hull, it appears sinking is certain as there's no internal bulkheads or bilge pumps. ![]() With those hull modifications you've made I want to call it Space Battleship Bismarck... ![]() |

Ha ha! It for sure would sink, its ridiculously heavy :p but I was thinkig of adding a bilge pump, but its so cramped inside it would have to be small, but its mainly going to be a show pony, shooting old forgoten models and prefabricated target ships to the bottom of my family's pond, then exploring the wrecks with my rc uboat ![]() |

yea the gyro is defective, i just tested it, thats y the balence compensation was so slow, if i use a direct input that counter weight rockets across the deck like i planed, so i have a new on on order, just waiting for it to come it, also i needed to tweek the guns a bit cause a few wern't reloading after each shot, so i had to de-solder and lower the interuptor pin inside the gun to accept the bb more freely, i used all brass tube for the guns, including the magazine feed so that id loose minimal pressure due to expansion when firing, the only expandable tubing is the coiled tube from the solenoid to the gun its self, so they pack a good punch, and im able to run them up to 300psi without tubes popping off or expanding off their barbs, i was able to put dents in my garage door with them, and they reload as afast as i can pull the trigger ![]() |

My new gyro for the auto list control arrived today in the mail, hooked it up and it works perfectly, and it has a sensitivity gain on it so i can make it really reactive to listing, i'll post a video later once i finalize the install of it, it just kinda sitting on the deck with wires comming out of it now lol, also i have it hooked to a channel on the reciever which relates to a dial switch on my tx, so if i want elevation control of the cannons, i can simply overide the gyro and cause a list to port or starboard with the counter weight, effectively raising or lowering the barrels of the guns, as they are set to a neutral elevation normaly. This build is nearly complete at this point with only a few wires left to connect, and im just waiting for the servo extention leads to show up in the mail and i can take her out for a maiden voyage ![]() ![]() |

So I installed a small bilge pump with a tube that leads into the sterns low point with the water sensor leads next to the pick up tube, so I wanted to test its flood abilities if the bow took on water, hoping the water would simply run to the stern and into the bilge, so I floated it in the tub and began adding water to the bow.....yea, it didnt run to the stern and just started to go down by the bow, with the stern lifting out of the water lol, so looks like ill need to add a bilge to the bow too, so I ordered some more parts, it worked good for water comming over the deck aft of center, pumping it out of the stern bilge and over the side, but any water comming threw the deck forward of center would collect in the bow and get exponentially worse, eventually sending her bow down and sinking, ....which would suck, man, im glad I tested it first ![]() |

So, she does float and on the proper waterline? Request photos of a bathtub float test, assuming it fits the tub. ![]() This could be fun for... harassing people and of course sinking other model ships. |
