I was asked by North Sea if I would post up a number of pictures of Richard Motyaka's Sovremenniy and Udaloy both at 1:72nd scale .Even now when I revisit these pictures it's hard to tell the difference between the model and the real vessel but don't take my word for it , judge for yourself. Enjoy the pictures they are indeed insparational .
All of these are of Richard's Sovremenniy

There is no such thing as an accurate model only degrees of interpretation

Hi Dave, those are amazing pictures. I will be using them as a guide to what a 1/72 model can look like!

Thank you very much for taking the time to post them. :thumbs_up_1:

Holy cow...some of those look like they were shot pier side while standing alongside the real thing!

On most of the pictures I thought I was looking at the real ship
If some weathering would had been applied it really isn't possible to see if it is the real one or the model.....

Greetings Josse

Hi Bill , Richard has been trying to contact me , I believe he's now completed his Udaloy 2 which even in its basic form was as you so aptly described for his Sovremenniy build , “incredible”
Here are several pictures of his Udaloy 2 in its basic form !!!! I just give up .
