I'll base my choice on whats missing in 1/350 plastic, hang on thats most of the WW2 RN fleet

So i'll go for
1)Leander class
2)County class
3)Arethusa class
4)Southampton class
5)Dido class

Five is the limit so no room for destroyers, RN 1/350 is a big, big hole in the market that needs filling.

Roy

Rodney, 41 like May 41!!!/ Nelson, not 45 but earlier, maybe with UP mounts all over.
Ark Royal
Norfolk/Suffolk/Dorsetshire
Dunkerque/Strassburg
Atlantis, German disquised cruiser

I like Brads ideas for some Aussie boats. I also prefer modern cold war to post coldwar ie 70's 80's 90's
But I would say my 5 are:

A CGN cruiser eg CGN 35 - Truxton
A CGN 38 - Virgina class
An 80's USS Midway CV41
and an 80's CV, Any of Prefer Kittyhark or America
CGN9 Longbeach - The first Nuclear boat and a unique shape

Anyway that my 2cent for what its worth
Dave

Like Mark T. said, if you do the first 3 correctly, you can make many kits out of them and the data is plentiful.

Like Mark said, but it ani't gonna happened.

I think it would be pretty cool to see any of the following, but this is my pick in order:

1. Des Moines-class (with an option to make 1972 USS Newport News)
2. Oregon City-class CA
3. Virginia-class CGN
4. USS Midway 1980s
5. Sachsen class frigate

Well, since you have asked!
I would love to build.....

1. A Brooklyn class light cruiser (USS Bosie)

2. An Omaha class Light Cruiser (USS Marblehead)

3. An Italian BB from WWII (Pick one, any will be welcome!)

4. I second the Dutch Java or De Ruyter.

5. Only one more choice....... USS Wasp CV-7

Here humbly,are my top five:

1) Leander and Improved Leander Class - Gives you fourteen possible ships from four Countries and alot of them played a big part in historical battles (Ajax, Achillies, Leander, Sydney, Perth). One of the first two would sell off the back of the Graf Spee kit into a market that is ripe for it and the success could bankroll the variants and keep the molds in demand for a long time. And its a small market here in Oz but a Sydney would be the best selling 1/350 model for years to come.

2) Enterprise and first Yorktown - I know you wont do them, but the market place has been asking for them for years, and they would be HUGE SELLERS! Huge! Besides, you dont ask, you dont get. Also, if you wont do them, just do the Hornet's Hull so we could have a single semi-accurate Yorktown Class, Trumpys kit sucks big ones!

3) HMS Dreadnaught - One of the few ships I would go off period (WWII) for. Massive historical significance.

4)RAN V Class Destroyer - Scap Iron Flotilla WWI Destroyers punching above their weight in WWII. 23 possible ships across three countries, England, Canada and Australia. Small kit - quick to market.

5)Wasp - Poor little stand alone carrier that fought everywhere and the only US carrier to fly Spitfires off its deck. Should be a popular subject - especially with 1/350 Spits!

6) I can't count, and I would walk a mile over broken glass on my testicles for an Ark Royal or similar RAN WWII carrier, just dont tell the wife.

The IJN is saturated, the USN pretty well covered as well as the Kriegsmarine, but appart form the battleships the RN is virtually non existant, they do deserve at least one carrier!?! Just my two cents worth, but want to take the oppurtunity to thank Dragon for actually asking the enthusiasts what they want! Cant wait for the Zestroyer and the CVL!!!!

I'll go for some odd ones close to my heart...

1. USCGC Alert (my first ship out of the Academy)
2. USCGC Dallas (I was Ops on her)
3. USCGC National Security Cutter
4. USCGC 180' buoy tender
5. USCGC Storis

Extra Credit USCGC 82' Point Class in 1/72

Thanks!

1. Yorktown Class Carrier - with correct hull
2. 4 Piper Flush Deck in WWII, include variants such as DMS, AVD
3. County Class Cruiser - Dorsetshire, Norfolk, Suffolk are standouts
4. Casablanca Class CVE
5. Zeilin APA (Something different, very distinguished War record and wouldook good on a model shelf alongside all the warships)

And of course these will be released in 1/700 as well, A la Laffey, Livermiore etc

Dragon should be congratulated for this novel approach in this industry for asking the customer what they want.

Here is my vote:

1/ the obvious choice: The world war two cruisers of the Leander & Perth (improved Leander) classes notably: HMS Ajax, HMS/ HMZS Achilles, HMAS Sydney & HMAS Perth.
All these ships and their sister ships can be built basically from one set of tooling with funnel changes etc.

2/ World war two era Illustrious class aircraft carriers: HMS Victorious and/or HMS Formidable during Operation Pedestal 1942, with cross decked Seafires (Spitfires), Sea Hurricanes, Fulmer and Wildcat aircraft!
The tooling would also be good for HMS Illustrious. With late war British/ US aircraft. And ship modifications mini kits extra sales could be made.

3/ World war two era Town class cruisers HMS Sheffield or HMS Belfast.

4/ World war two era J, K &N classes: HMS Kelly, HMAS Napier and or other Australian, British, Dutch or Polish ships of the class.

5/ World war two era S,T,UV,W,Z and C classes of fleet destroyers basically one design of over sixty ships serving many nations.

1/350:

1) USS Midway any era
2) CGN 38 - Virgina
3) Vietnam Essex Class SCB-125
4) Tribal class
5) CGN9 Longbeach

In case any of these are "no ways" then substitute it for a Flower class.

Thank you!

Dear Dragon- Thanks for asking. Here are my choices for 1/350 scale kits, in no particular order:

1. An Omaha class would be great. Sleek looking ships with long service lives with a variety of fits and camouflage schemes = lots of repops with minor mold variations or additional parts runners.
2. A Vietnam era Essex. Lots of veterans still living would want one of those in their den instead of the sucky, overpriced wood ones from the Philippines.
3. HMS Ark Royal from WW II - Isn't it natural to display antagonists together? Who can't think of Bismarck without thinking of Ark Royal tripping him up.
4. I'd love to see an accurate Northampton class cruiser in 1/350, except if they did one in that scale they'd also do one in 1/700 and I'd practically be out of the resin business. :mad_1:
5. An amphibious invasion set with LCI's, LVT's, Higgins boats, LCVP's, LCT's and the like, or a harbor set with tugs and support vessels. (Okay, so that's 5-1/2. So what?)
