Part in-box review, part call for information, if such exists. I was lured by on-line posts of instructions and etch development to get this new release from ITA Shipyard and it’s really rather nice in the box. In fact, including the box. The parts come in a sturdy two part plastic box which would need great inventiveness from a postie to come to any harm in transit. The etch is safe in the bottom under a layer of protective foam and the smallest parts are within another sturdy box.
There’s the resin hull, what looks like both cast and 3-d detail parts, lots of etch, brass rod for masts and vinyl masks for pennant numbers - a first for me in a ship kit. At a little over 16cm it looks like it will build into something small but perfectly formed, but will undoubtedly be a challenge.
I know little about early twentieth century ships, still less about French ships, so any guidance for more information on this type would be very welcome.
