Dutch company Artitec produces quite a few well-done resin ship kits in the standard train modeling scales. I picked up this little guy at the local model train show, after seeing how nice board member Elmarriachi's
coaster Noordborg came out.
The instructions suggest it depicts a MS Forelle and/or Isabelle, but I've been unable to find information on a ship that resembles the kit's. If anyone has any clues, I'd love to know!
Anyway, onto the quick photo review of the kit:

File comment: Boxart - note the flap on the side showing how thin the box is. Everything's crammed and jammed with packing peanuts. Really snug.

File comment: Overview of all the parts that come in the box. Styrene rod for the flag poles on the right, as is a piece of clear acrylic for window glazing. The PE is nice, but the holes in the lifeline stanchions are not etched all the way through, so some work will have to be done to allow lifelines to be rigged.

File comment: This is the upper "deck" providing shelter for the passengers on the main deck. With no references, I can't tell whether this was all metal or if parts overhanging the main deck were canvas.

File comment: Deckhouse. Nice and sharp, a film of resin covers the windows so they could be removed from the mold. Scraping them open and adding the clear glazing should be easy. Lots of room for interior detailing should you desire.
