That is the best looking sea base I have ever seen. I see that you have listed some materials that you used to create it, but would you be willing to expand on the list to include a how to on how you achieved such outstanding results? P.S. I think the Scharnhorst looks amazing as well, the water just flat out blew me away. :)

Thanks for your kind words.

Paul:
There are several methods for water.
Here are several: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=37923
(I use the method of Frank Spahr) http://www.finewaterline.com/pages/tips ... swater.htm

At this time I use something similar to Werner De Keersmaecker (http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery ... index.html)

I try to explain it with pictures

A)
Styrofoam and a special tool

B) Press

C).- Paint

D) Gloss varnish

E) Add waves (tissue), White paint and another gloss varnish, and more waves with fiber filler

Thank you very much for the reply with link and the how to pictures, very useful. I will definitely be utilizing the styrofoam technique to generate the swells in the future, I have been using acrylic gel medium to date which has a nice "wavelet" component but the swell was lacking! Thank you once again and congratulations on a fantastic build.
