Nice to see you're taking that one. I'm sure the build will look excellent. If you want to do a review, Lloyd's has deck plans for Ranpura.Rob wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 3:28 pm I've ordered Rawalpindi. By the looks of the kit it can be built in civilian guise

True, but this is the great strength of the Chinese. They jump on an opportunity when they see it.pascalemod wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 4:56 amStrike the iron while it's hot.maxim wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 12:44 pm And the first announcement of the Trump class from an unknown manufacturer in 1/2000 and 1/700 scale:

You should use the quote button ("), otherwise we don't know which link you're referring to.

Re: *3D printed models* Upcoming Ship Releases
I actually was admiring that they go after opportunity like this, and if not a scam - all the power to them. With 3d printing we get so many more cool kits out, its unreal. There are so many never released European designs for ships, frankly its sad no body in europe makes the effort to monetise it. I know we all love heller/airfix/revell releases of the same kits from 30 years ago but little more fresh kits wouldnt hurt.PHILIPPE wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 1:14 pmTrue, but this is the great strength of the Chinese. Re: *3D printed models* Upcoming Ship Releases
Luckily, because of 3D printing, there are now also plenty of released kits of European ships (see this thread).

Mind sharing some examples? Aside from the obligatory Nelson class that everybody wants (and a brand new one has just been released by 3D-Wild), I would really be interested to know in what the modellers here would like to see.pascalemod wrote: Mon Jan 12, 2026 4:24 pm I actually was admiring that they go after opportunity like this, and if not a scam - all the power to them. I do already have a rough idea myself of what's needed, but aside from a few obvious picks like the Town class or HMS Furious, I'm genuinely curious to know what you'd expect to see vs what we think would be most commercially viable.
For the mods/admins: if this is not the place to pose such a question I apologize, I will make a separate thread if that is the case. I felt the question needed to be asked here.

Re: *3D printed models* Upcoming Ship Releases
Well, SSmodels released a bunch of WWII and post WWII Italian subjects in scales including 1/350
WWII heavy cruisers Trento and Bolzano plus the previous smaller classes and is now releasing post war DDs like the Indomito Class.
Quite a bit more affordable than anything output by 3DWild.
