I've seen Rusty White's technique on painting decks...it looks like this Japanese modeler has taken it to an art form....

It only took a month for him to do that?! Amazing. Did you guys notice he said that he re-painted the wood part because it was too dark?! wow.

Aslo funny - when he writes about putting on the railings, he cut off the tabs... cuz they're for beginners.

he also has very good guides on how to do decks like that... I'm working on the akagi one right now

. But seriously your right you do need a crap load of patience to do that, but the result is truly beautiful... so I guess its worth it...
