After finishing most of the furniture for my new flate, I found time to progress with HMS Rose. I am working on the 9-pounder mountings. They consist of two stretched sprues as axis and two 0,125 mm thick polystyrene plates. I was not able to cut this plates - I need 40 of them - to the same size. But Burkhardt Masch produced for me a puncher.

Here the puncher:

Here the punched plates for the mountings:

And here the mountings of the starboard battery:

I can report some small progress. I finished all 9 pounder mountings and painted them red brown.

The forecastle and the quarter deck are complete:

Both decks are made from 0,5 mm thick plastic sheet.

I think you deserve a big punch up your nose for leaving us like that.

However, given the quality and quantity of that work I guess I can excuse you! Great job on all of those, really impressive (although a bit strange that you didn't give us any notice of this, I'd be very happy with a write up on that Andrea Doria of yours! I'm sure the small scale modellers would love any topics like that!!!!

Great job, congrats with those Roman galleys too! So what are you currently working on?

I've followed your work on Modellmarine.de, so I knew you were busy! Very nice models, and I can't wait to see HMS Rose finished. :thumbs_up_1:

Tja, there are currently following unfinished models at my desk: Capitana (Maltese galley, 1700), HMS Rose (24 gun ship, 1740), USS Baltimore, USS Olympia and USS Raleigh (all protected cruisers, c. 1898), USS Brooklyn and USS Maryland (both armoured cruisers), SMS Albatross (cruiser minelayer, 1914), Leipzig and Nrnberg (both light cruisers, c. 1941), Moskwa (Russian missile cruiser, c. 2005), Kongo, Takanami and Atago (Japanese missile destroyers, c. 2008). Therefore I don't know, when Rose will be finished.
