And if anyone wants those slava plans, let me know and I'll send them when i have them :). I also just dug out a really good set of plans for a Chinese Sovremenny in 1:350. Let me know if you guys would like them.

EDIT: Oh Neptune, if it isn't too much trouble it would be great to have the subs too. But there's no hurry, you sent enough to me yesterday!!

Why don't we suggest the forum puts up a plans section where we can download all this stuff from? I bet we would have a fantastic library if we all got together on it!

hi Sean,

practically impossible to upload all those things over here. In total it's about 20-25MB when zipped... The size is about 2000 or 3000 pixels wide, so that means I'd have to change the size of every page (and there's 48 of those...)

However, I can email them without much of a problem. So Todd, just get me your email adress (by PM is the safest way I guess). Then I'll send them to you and Sean.

The size of those pictures almost knocked me off my seat :) Great pictures, thanks for the link! Finally some decent pictures one can use to look at details.

Trumpeter /350 Slava Class? Can I do Marshall Ustinov?

I had the opportunity to stroll the decks of Marshall Ustinov a few years back, and would like to make my Varyag kit in to Ustinov...Would there be much effort involved in changing the kit for a reasonable likeness?

Not really.
The only stuff Ustinov is different in is generally the lay-out of the liferafts. On top of the helicopter hangarn rather than the sides etc. And the radar lay-out. For the rest the Slavas are more or the less the same. Not so many differences as on the Kirovs.

In relation to the Russian Battlecruiser Admiral Ushakov (ex-Kirov) at scale 1/350.
For those lucky to have been able to get one, can you give us an idea how good the kit is.
Building
1/72 Admiral Kuznetsov
1/72 Frunze Russian Battle cruiser
1/72 Steregushchy-class corvette
