Read to post in off topic area
The Off Topic Forum is visible only to members of the Off Topic Junkie group. This is an opt in group. If you want to participate in the off topic areas then you must join that group. This is done to prevent the Off Topic posts from cluttering up the forum for those who are here for the real business of the board; Ship Modeling. One you join the group the forum will become visible to you. For those who do not wish to see posts from this forum simply don't join that group. As of 4/1/06, new applicants for the "off topic junkie" area will have to have a history of posts for review. If you just signed up for the forum, enjoy hobbying for a while before you allow yourself to be distracted by the nonsense part of our membership!
The off-topic area is full of politics, pets and current events, some of which are not even remotely related to models and ships, Some of the contributors really "let their hair down", although very few have become abusive to the point where we had to eject them.

As a rule of thumb, we'd like to see you submit 30-40 posts which can read and evaluated before giving you the keys to our kingdom.
