Hey, has anyone found or scratch built one of the Mk71 Major Caliber Light Weight Gun that was being tested aboard the USS Hull? I am working on how I would have modernized the Spruance-class. In doing this, I have pretty much made them a VLS Kidd-class with the addition of the Mk71 up front like the Sprucans were supposed to have.
I am hoping I don't have to sculpt one, something I have never done before, but if I have to...
thanks!!!

Re: Mk71 8"/55 caliber gun
Well, here's what I have in mind, guys. Instead of making the original Mk71 Mod0 that was installed aboard the Hull and was scheduled to be installed aboard the Spruance and Kidd-classes, I think if the Mk71 platform were adopted today, it would be very much in the flat-sided philosophy of today.
So...as a result, I will be making a version, something like a Mod1 or Mod2 that is all flattened out. Muaahuhuhu!
NOTE: In this project, I am committing one of the cardinal crimes of advocating the employment of affective gunner on US Navy ships....ummmm! I'm going to get in trouble.
