Which plans do you use? I found the article series (6 parts) in Navires guerre & commerce N°56-61 (Marines éditions). There are a lot of photos included and also many drawings, but not all of them. E.g. a side view (profil, vue latéral) is missing, there is only a longitudinal cut (section longitudinale). I had also problems to find out which armament Dupuy de Lôme had in 1895 (or any other fit). My interpretation is this:

2 x 19,4 cm L/40 Model 1887
6 x 16.4 cm L/45 Model 1893
6 x 6,5 cm
8 x 4,7 cm Hotchkiss
8 x 3,7 cm Hotchkiss revolver guns
4 x 45 cm torpedo tubes

I am looking forward to see more of your model! :thumbs_up_1: I have also bought the Yumematu kit...

What did you use for the hull siding? Is it filler sanded flush with the ribs?

Babel Fish translates:

Excellent choice of ship!

I am interested in why you are biding the kit alongside your scratchbuild?

Will you be showing the two models in the different times--pre- and after re-fit/build?

I am watching this with interest!

Hello to all.
Bonjour à tous .

Sory for my bad english , I'm french .

Canoes kit were very average quality ...

I'll rework this way.
Je vais les retravailler de cette façon .

So the placement of a keel and a rudder on a small boat, they are between 9 mm and 1 cm.

If one of you has another solution, I do not mind any information ...

Canoe kit.
Embarcation du kit .
Image

I sharpened the edges, dug inside.
J'ai affiné les rebords , creusé l'intérieur .
Image

I have briefly sketched the outline of the boat by placing a sheet of paper.
Image

I cut the boat in the middle (this is the most delicate point).
Image

I then glued a half on the small profile.
Image

I cut the upper part of the paper, remembering to leave the small end of the stem, and cut the rudder.
Image

I glued in the starboard symmetry.
Image

I cut once again the outlines.

Image

I sanded the part of the sheet of paper that remains in the inner hull.
Image

And I sanded the keel to my taste. Do not forget that little (it is a small 9mm), so I deliberately forced the size of the keel and rudder for it to remain visible after painting.

Hi Mabmanu,
I have just bought the Modelik 1/200 kit of the late (3 funnel) Dupuy de Lome. I will copy it down to 1/700 and start working on it shortly . It does have the boat deck as you have indicated but it also has planked decks everywhere.
Do you have good sources about the deck planking or deck plating? I have not found any top views yet.
