Nicolas,

I look forward to seeing your build of this kit!

There's allot of Colossus kits in this forum at the moment! No wonder WEM dont have PE in stock for me yet!

Cheers

I will have to face the same problem in the future.
I plan to build a BPF HMS Victorious from the 1/400 Illustrious kit and I need a couple of Boffins. I'll save your technique for reference you don't mind Nicolas.

The work was begun on the stern,I stuck two half hull and I reduced the thickness of plastic at the level of openings

Image

I redid a deck in plastic card

Image

The back part was stuck, and the narrow openings filled

Image

the two conical "balcony" were stuck, and many of putty was applied!

Hi all

This week I worked the bow, indeed I find that openings made by Heller are under sized

Image

The first work, consists a stuck a portion of square at the end of the deck, and to redo the opening of the center, the future openings is materialised with a pencil line

Image

Openings are enlarged with a file

Image

We apply of putty

Image

The circumferences of the openings and the hawse pipes are redone with a Lead thread

Diverse details realized with the plastic card and stretched plastic are added

Image

Image

The result of the work on the stern

Thats it for now

Good evening

The pictures of the continuation of my work on my Arromanches
As I am going to put my ship in a diorama, I am going to make a water line in my hull, by cutting her
For reasons of rigidity, I am going to proceed to the cutting in three steps

The plastic of the hull is cut has with of a circular blade on a drmel

Image

Of the plastic card is stuck on the bottom by portion in the measure of the progress

Image

The completely cut hull

The suite the next time

Fine work Nicolas, the extra details that you have added are excellent. I'm currently adding some details to the quarterdeck of my build.

Great work here Nicolas, You are inspiring me to be more thorough on my Melbourne! I might just mosey on over to the modeling desk now and make some more progress.

Keep up the good work. Its going to be interesting to see how your project develops.

Happy to hear about the single bofors but suspect I wont need them for about a year at the current rate!

Hello

The pictures of the progress of my works on the bow, under the flight deck.
To begin it is necessary to make the cable holders(?)

Image

Both square parts connected by a round part, are capstans

The same parts installed temporarily

Image

Those who are elongated, are the hawse pipes

The definitive parts

Image

the holes are intended to the posts who support the deck
The continuation soon
bye
