Vladimir as a matter of interest which drawings are you using to build your Murmansk . They look very detailed far removed from the original drawings I used for Sverdlov.

Hi Vladimir Impressive workmanship working in brass is a very different material with its own problems. Question what type of soldering system do you have. Electronic, gas? I like the electronic as you can govern the temperature rage more accurately but the pencil gas torch delivers more heat.

I work with electirc soledring iron and control its power with illumination regulator (dimmer 100W). It suits me fine ili I am quite happy with it.

Hi Vladimir Another question what type of flux do you apply befor soldering the joints and what form of solder material do you apply to the joints ? Is this a solder paste or in solder strip form? We have a number of model makers in our ship model society that build exclusively in brass , including all of the hull.

I do not have any special material for soldering, all I use I buy at the store.

Hi Vladimir, great work on the vents :thumbs_up_1: What thickness of brass did you use, and how to you keep it in place so accurately while you solder it? Is the surround made of strip or wire?

Great looking ship, look forward to seeing more.
