Good to see the Duane back up on the board . A striking all scratch built model . We can learn so much from how ARH has gone about his techniques in building such large scale working models. Looking forward to more such builds from the Master.

Hi Ron, I got it, thank you very much!!!

And here I say my hello too to Dave Wooley, you have a lot to teach as ARH does.
I didn't understand the meaning of FAIRED LINES in the drawings, so ARH made it clear to me. :wave_1:

Nice regards to all!
Jimmy

This excellent build by ARH the master was about to go on to page two . Thought i'd bring it back to the top of the board . constructional information such as this needs to be seen.

Dave's post reminded me that there was supposed to be a visit to the guy in white by the Admiral... So are there any good news? :wave_1:

Hi Nick, It was not good news, but it was not that bad, he said I was a good way off from having to change the treatment, here,s hoping. :heh: :heh: :heh: :wave_1:

This thread was halfway down page 2, I brought it up for some of the new members. :wave_1: :wave_1: :wave_1:

Once again such a wonderful build had moved onto page 2 , so I thought I'd bring this particular build back up the board again . The information and methodology in ARHs builds is very useful to the scratchbuilder and of course ARH is a master of the art of crafting model ships from next nothing out of what would be discarded material and producing amazing models .

Was wondering how you were doing and getting a little worried. It's good to see you on the board again. Keep the positive attitude. The Pirates will drink a tot of Rum to you.

Hi Ron Good to hear from you. :thumbs_up_1: :woo_hoo: I think this build like the other great builds of yours and Bill's should perhaps be permanently at the top of the board as your Duane build has so much to offer in information to the scratch builder that it would serve so much better as a permanent part of the board and not drift on to other pages. I hope this will be so.

Glad to see you are doing ok, sir---Since you built the US Coast Guard Duane (one of the larger cutters) and Bill Waldorf just finished my( much smaller) US Coast Guard 83' WPB, perhaps they should be shown side by side as the 'long and short of it' during WW2---both did anti-sub work and my 83' served at Normandy as well

Hear hear Dave, it wobe good to have these sort of reference builds available even if transfered to a different board in the Scratchbuild section. It is amazing the inspiration I have received from looking at the Admiral's work and many others. Hope your health improves soon Admiral, too many ships left for you to show us how to build!

Thanks to who ever made this a sticky, :thumbs_up_1:

The CIC said I could build a new ship as long as I get rid of a few. :heh: :heh: so when the weather picks up, and I finish my last 7 treatments, one may see a new build. :wave_1: :wave_1:

Photos from the Kiev commissioning reminded me of patient Duane... And the Admiral was looking really great in the photos...

Best wishes from Greece... :wave_1: :wave_1: :wave_1:

P.S. I am not making any remark on the new build... Have to go change my pants... :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:
