Hello gents
I your propose the step by step mounting of the battleship Richelieu in the fifties (52)
the model it is that of Trumpeter, with all the errors :eyes_spinning:
but I will try to remove these errors
the first stage will be mounting the hull,as the model will be presented on a base , the model it is "full hull"
the stern with the brackets and shafts
Image
the bollards and fairleads will be removed because they are ""ugly"" (see thumbnail)
Image
I'll redo them in resin,the master's
Image
there will be work on the model!!!!
see you latter!
Nicolas

That's a very bold project Nicolas!!!! :thumbs_up_1: I have this model in the stash and because of all the mistakes I thought about building the model and adding PE but without paint. Like pictures of PE manufacturer.

Cheers

Promising!

(I know about a trompe d'oeil being an optical illusion, so I guess you mean you're not going to make a real hawse pipe?)

Hi gents

The work continues by the corking and the creation of new's portholes,Indeed,Trumpeter they have made the mistake in the reading of the plans in their ownership !!!one more :-D
During the sanding of putty, the gutters above portholes can beings damaged ,or those who are above the new's portholes ,are redone, by using of the steel fine wire rolled up around a drill, and cut has half
Image
They are glued has the cyanoacrylate (do not tremble :-D )
the result
Image
Image

The exits of the hawse pipes are redone
Image
and the a part which carries the name in french of "faux brion"
Image
this part serves to attach the chains of the paravanes for the dredging!!!
Even a battleship can make the work of a minesweeper !
see you later
Nicolas

Hi folks

The last headways on my "Rich"
The castle and the chimney almost finished (The big works)
Image
Image
And for first time, an overview which allows to perceive the beautiful silhouette of Richelieu (The most beautiful to the world ;) )
Image
Otherwise, on the stern it is necessary to take back the end of the deck and the capstan
Image
Indeed, the wooden deck do not go up to the end, but a steel part is present,I have eliminate the molded chain and I have redid the hawse pipes
Image
on the picture ,we see the base of the new capstan
On the base of the "castle",it is necessary to create an staircase (C)
and to take back the shape of the roof (B) and of instaler two reinforcements under the two overhangs presente of every side (A)
Image
the tubs for the 100mm ,need to be heightened of 2.5mm , as well as the rectangular boxes. four renforcements are present below these last one .An opening for a staircase is also breakthrough, in every tub
Image
the aspect that the set has to have
Image
The continuation coming soon
best regards
Nicolas
