Modern Chinese Ship colors

Post by Guest »

I have a question on modern Chinese Ship colors.
Photos show an almost white color, yet 1/700 Chinese ship models (Dragon Russian Destroyer model), shows a grey MrColor color.
Are the ships really white?
I have the same question about modern British Warships.

Thanks,

George

Having been aboard several I can attest they are not white, but a light grey with a tinge of blue in them.

Exact colour is unknown (to me) but they are definitely not white.

Alright, I've done a search on the Sovremenny class destroyer fans thread without luck, so I'm resurrecting this old thread to ask a question.

Does anyone here know what colour the PLA-N used on its first two Sovremenny class destroyers?

The Chinese PLA-N colours on the older photos above look much more closer to white than grey to me.

The lightest grey I know of, Tamiya's Royal Light Grey (TS-81 spray) for British Royal Navy ships, isn't even that light if I can recall correctly.
"Haijun" means "navy" in Mandarin Chinese.
