There has been a little delay in:
The PE version of BFM-701 YTM and Large Tug.
Our first 1/700 PE set. This will be for early 1900‘s- merchant ships.
And the new crane barge sets.

But they should be here by the end of the month.

Good idea! I am looking forward to the set. :thumbs_up_1:

A question to the dimensions: are they also useful for sailing ship models? E.g. typical frigates?

Could you also attach an additional part like 7 with deadeyes similar to 2-5?

Hallo Maxim and Harry!

Looking at the relative proportions , I reckon they will be fine for for both some * traditional as well as transitional sail/steam ships-- some of them do also looks suitable for the taller lower courses find on sailing ships with funnels.

I shall be purchasing some-- always horses for courses..

For some projects I am sure these will be just the ticket

*
But...I must say--and I am sure it may come yet- that there appear to be rather insufficient shrouds( verticals) for a
'pure' sailing man-of-war such as Victory/Royal Sovereign

The Atlantic models set addressed that quite well and adequately

The BFM set appears to better for the upper ratlines with less shrouds and it is a nice mixture of different sizes.

Thanks JB for answering the ratlines question.

Maxim, there will be more varieties of Ratlines available early next year. I am just getting started on merchant ship PE. Expect a full line of merchant ship PE products next year.
BTW, the Ratline set BFM-PE 7001 will also include several other useful sail/steamship era items ie Ships Wheels, Boat chocks….

The PE 1/700 Tug boats are ready to ship - BFM- 701PE - $20.00
BFM-733 - $30.00 Barge set III is ready to ship

Also, ready for production 1/350 US Coast Guard Decals.
And next up 1/700 IJN decal set.

Orangehobby - HMS Ocean should be here soon, along with their two other releases.

Thanks for looking.

Hi,

Here is the PE fret for the Tug Set. BFM-701PE
And with some plastic card for the Boat deck and Pilot house deck you can have a completely open superstructure tug.

More new items on the way, I am just getting started on PE frets for all my kits.

Hi Everyone,

Lifecolor Naval Paints - both individual paints and Paint Sets have finally arrived from Italy.

I will be updating the site over the next several days as EarthLink was having technical problems at web hosting.
I am quite behind in Alliance Modelworks PE photo updates.

Are the crane ships based on any particular vessels? What is their USN designation, e.g. AB, YD, etc.? Do you have any web resources for the two types?

Thanks.

Hi,

I asked Brain @ Alliance Modelworks who design the PE.
Here is the answer-

"They are not US Navy . One was a New Zealand crane named Hikinui, the other Norwegian . "

Hi,

BFM-7103A 10 Individual mines @ $1.00 are 1/700

We do have 1/350 turned brass mines in production but they will not be ready until Jan 2012.
