New 1/700 PE Coming from WEM

Post by John Snyder »

We're pleased to announce that WEM will be doing a PE set (PE 799) for the new Dragon 1/700 USS Enterprise (CVAN-65). Peter Hall is already gathering materials, and as soon as Dave gets it onto the website we'll be taking pre-orders. Remember, the more pre-orders, the faster it moves to the front of Mad Pete's design queue. Peter is also gathering materials for PE 7100, 1/700 Nimitz-class Carriers, which you can also pre-order.
Cheers,
John Snyder

John,

is there a chance to include optional parts for backdating the kit, like a SPN-6 or drop tank rack for the fantail?

Best Regards,
Michael

The kit is in 1969 fit--how early do you want to backdate it?

Hi John,

1963-64, Operation Sea Orbit, optional parts would be (as i can think of):
SPN-6
alternative flight deck netting at angle deck for 3rd bridle arrestor
a/c drop tank rack at fantail
early style life raft racks (although this would require a 2nd sheet, as there were ca. 90 of them...)

Thanks for the quick reply and best regards,
Michael
