help for Ticonderoga decks

Post by kuya »

I'm currently working on dragon's uss monterey cg-61 and I only have tamiya paints available right now...on the instructions the dark grey for deck calls for gunze's RLM dark gray 74...anyone know any close matches to tamiya's paints? mixing them is an option for me since I already have a couple of tamiya paint's stored...

The equivalent of RLM 74 is XF 54. (http://www.paint4models.com/paintchart/ ... 0101c.html#)

You need a dark grey tone in order to paint the decks...

XF 54 or XF 63. You could also darken XF 24. These are Tamiya codes. :thumbs_up_1:
