Now I am confused for whether I should make two versions for Kit statandard and for third party PE set version.
And then I should draw Manuals and should pass this to the printer.
And come to at 21th Dec.

Great news Kim. :thumbs_up_1:
I can wait a few more weeks for your excellent work!
I suspect the third-party PE version would be most popular with the members of this board and I suspect for overall sales.
The Dreadnaught set is just stunning!

Hi Mr Kim,
I ordered this set from Hobbydecal on 30 Nov and have not yet received my order.

Hobbydecal have not replied to any of my emails which is worrying to me.

Are supplies short? or is this just normal practice for Hobbydecal? (this is my first purchase from them)

Kind Regards

Brent

My jaw has dropped 46cm onto my work bench looking at this stuff. For the first time in my modelling life I am inclined to build a model because of the quality of the after market markets, rather than a good basic kit with the search for the add ons to make it better. Boy, you have turned the ship modelling world upside down!

Frankly Dreadnought set has come out quitely better than we had plotted.
But we have released just two sets.
I will be more happy to hear your message again at least one year after...

Kim,

My set arrived today and like everyone else I am really impressed at the quality. You've set a new standard for all the other aftermarket companies. I have never used a wood aftermarket deck before. Do you recommend using a coat of clear lacquer or acrylic on it to seal it? Do you feel it's worth the effort to raise some of the structures so the sit proud of the deck and not sunken in? I realize the deck is only .4mm thick, but how noticible is that? Also with the masts do you recommend using CA or epoxy or silver soldering them?

Please keep up the good work. I hear there is a 1/200 Bismarck on the horizon, would there be a Prontos set to match?

Hello, I ordered one of these sets just before Christmas, it was dispatched on the 29th and was put through my letterbox on the 4th January. Top marks to HobbyDecal for the superb service!

Looking at the set itself, WOW!! It is incredible. It looked great on these pages, but when you see it for real it reaches another level and I just hope I can do it and the kit justice.

Just one quick question - what is the best method for building the brass mast and yardarms? Would you recommend me trying to learn how to solder, or will CA do the job?

Well done Pontosmodel, a superb set Thank you so much!

Hello,

I just received this set (from FreeTimeHobbies) and am very impressed with the quality and the value.

I have one question. In the bottom of the box was a very fine mesh plastic/cloth(?) sheet which at first I thought was just packing material, then I thought maybe it could be used for rolled/stowed torpedo nets. I find no mention of it in the instructions, on your website, or here.

Is it an undocumented extra or did I just find a new use for packing material ?

Thanks, and again, well done !!

Well basically I think Kit Manuafacturers may have 0.3mm more or less faults in realizing their deck heights.
So I think you need not rais or cut the kit deck parts or around deck area.
I recommend you just to apply our decks on the kit without modification.
AS forthe mast we recommend with instant glue after bending the joint PE parts.

1/200 Bismarck detail up set surely we will start just after released by Trumpeter.
Now we joined to new designer Mr. Hong so he peomote our Detail up set developing faster than before.

Thank you
Kim

I also cannot believe you got within 5days from our shipping date.
We recommend to use instant glue after join with PE joint parts for the mast sets.

This mesh is same eye size with PE mesh part. We were hard to get this mesh in the material markets.
As you assume this can be used for rolled Torpedo nets stowed.

Just bonus material so we have not noted on our web or manual.

Kim,

I have a question that I have asked other places but never received an answer. I know the process of how the PE is made, but how to you come up with the artwork to fit a particular kit? It seems like it would be reverse engineering. How are all the measurements derived? The question also applies to your decking. Thanks.

You've asked our Top Secret matter.
But I open this Secret as tips.
We use Scanner and Calipers.
Within 3-4times fitting and fitting, it come out exact products.
You may call this as the reverse engineering.

Thanks for the answer. Keep up the good work. Have you ever considered a complete kit, or one in conjunction with another manufacturer?
