Re: Combrig News
I can't tell you how happy Combrig has made me over the last few years with their models. So you can imagine my surprise when looking at the box art of their new model of the USS New Hampshire. The picture on the box is not the New Hampshire and if the model in the box looks like the picture it is wrong. One of the main visual differences of the New Hampshire from her sisterships was a step on all of her funnels above the level of her bridge. I believe this had to do with the casing. This remained even after she was given cage masts later. There is still enough in the update for me to have to redo my budget. A quick look on the Navsourse site will show you what I'm talking about or if you have American Battleships `1886 - 1923 you can clearly see the difference between what was and what is pictured on the box.

Re: Combrig News
I've checked with the Combrig guys and they said that it's only the photo that is wrong, the actual model has the correct steps on the smoke stacks.Russ Smith wrote:I can't tell you how happy Combrig has made me over the last few years with their models. Great to hear that. I'm not really surprised their models are some of the best I have. Thanks for checking Vladimir!

I hope I have enough money to pre-order Bayern. I want that more than these kids want Call of Duty on release day!

HMS Tiger, HMS New Zealand, HMS Lord Nelson, HMS Agamemnon, SMS Bayern and Le Terrible in 1/350 will all be released between March and the Summer (March is the earliest possible date, most realistic one is the summer).Any word on the Bayern release date? I might get Seydlitz out of pure anxiety

They said couple of weeks. Given the track record, I'd expect them to in the end of february.Atma wrote:What about HMS Lord Nelson, USS Virginia and USS Connecticut class in 1/700 ?

Re: Combrig News
Great to see Le Terrible ! I am really sorry that no French manufacturer gets interest in those ships.
Could I suggest to Combrig in the same line a 1/350 model of a Marseillaise class cruiser. They were really handsome ships, two versions possible (1940 and 1945). Would be really great !
