Greetings Fellow Modelers-Below are photos of the finished floatplane. I apologize there are no “in progress” construction photos of it, but the project was beginning to wear me down and I was ready to be finished with it. The only modifications I made were:
>Adding .015” diameter wire (in place of the kit parts) for the outerwing float bracing-
>Adding .005” diameter wire for the antenna and stabilizer supports-
After the canopy was painted I coated it with Krystal Kleer to give it a glass appearance. There is a lot more that could have been done, but like I said I wanted to be done. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Greetings Fellow Modelers-This is the final entry for this build log, and below the final photos of the finished model. Thanks for the ongoing compliments and encouragement. I hope this information helps anyone who chooses to build this kit (or any WWII Japanese submarine). Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think.

I thank you so much for your post and pictures. I bought the I-19 at a model meet in September and after finishing my diorama started the kit the beginning of December. When I opened the box and found the instructions in Japanese my heart sunk. Then I found your post. It was a life and time saver. I've relied on it for my entire build. Still have to paint and assemble the 3 completed sections together but you have made the job so much easier. I appreciate your generosity in sharing your knowledge and experience.

Snapshot6020,

Thanks very much for your compliments. I am glad my post has helped in building your I-19. Being able to share information with someone else who finds it helpful is one of the best things about this site. Be sure and post photos of your build when you are done. Merry Christmas!
