Love the attempt and the results :-)

... and the pictures of the food too ...

I think that is what I have in the nose as we are not too far apart location wise!

Hi 109 I have been looking in with great interest and I'm always amazed at your attention to the finest of detail . Your Bismarck will be one that is looked to as the "bench mark" when it comes to this particular subject.

Hi
I write from Spain (using the google translator) to tell you I was very impressed by the level of detail that you are giving to the hull of your Bismarck
I have seen many works of this boat and it's pretty amazing to see your work.
It seems like you are doing the improvements were really functional and were doing more than modeling engineering.
I also am doing the bismarck but on a scale 1/200, and many of the things I've seen I will have to serve an inspiration in my model because I am in the stage of completion of the hull.
I wonder if in addition to the details that you've done well to imitate the welds and rivets of the armor plates of the hull as it has in its model Mickosh3.
Thank you very much for this incredible post and remains so.
regards

Hi:

The first thing I tell you I'm not Bismarck built by scratch, is a model of Amati bought by fascicles. The model is made of wood, PE, metal and plastic.
Unfortunately in my house I have no space or tools to involve me in a project of this magnitude XC.
Well, I show how I have planned to perform the welding lines of different armor plates in the hull.

This picture corresponds to a Sovremenny class destroyer in 1/200 that I bought to practice various forms of detailed and painting techniques, for use as test when I building the bismarck.Right now this project is stopped because I'm waiting to buy a set of PE White ensign models for this boat.
I used copper wire copying the distribution of the welds using actual photographs of this boat.In addition bismarck will try to make the different rivets making holes with a hand drill and introduced copper wire or plastic rod evergreen brand.
Finally, I have some photographs of the model and the detailed end of the chimney.

That's it. As you can see I still have much work to do in the model. My biggest problem is to find photos where I see the paneling of the hull and which also display all the details you have included at the bottom of the hull so as far as possible I will use your modifications as a reference to detail my model.
I hope you understand what I say because the google translator is not working properly if at all
Thanks and greetings from Spain

A first coat of primer on the starboard citadell armor at frame 186.7 202.7. The thickness of the forward armour plates is reduced from 145mm to 120 mm due to the inclination of the plates.

Hi, Bernd!
Now I am working with upper deck of my Bismarck, and I ask you for information help.

I cann't find positions of "water gratings" (even in Gally's drawings!)

Image

Could you, please, give "Spt-coordinates" of the gratings (of course , if you have them)?

With best regards,
Anatoly

Hi anatoly,

I have no references on this, too. I guess we have to add such drain every 10m or so?
