I'll issue an updated file in the next few days as I've noticed during my hangar build that several markings were oversized (gym center) or missing (more armament elevator stripes for hangar and flight deck, yellow lines for jet blast panels, correct size big E and 65 decals for 2001 island). As I've also finished painting goffy's and wonderful JAG's deck vehicles, I'll include full decals for those ( lower black stripes, antiskid surface for dollies, tractor numbers and red stripes for fire tractors ). There's a high possibility I'll have to include these in a second page if I don't want to disrupt first page arrangement. :wave_1:

Major update done ! Finally rearranged everything on one page only with those wonderful new details :

File comment: Fire Tractor Details : Never been done before !!!

Fire tractor details_redimensionner.jpg [ 35.81 KiB | Viewed 3709 times ]

I won't be adding anymore details for the vehicles as they'll be much too small !!!

PDF file updated V3.0 of course !!! :thumbs_up_1:

For those who kindly donated, update is available, just email me as I don't keep a log of who got it.
For others, I'll increase a bit the donation asked...due to a huge regroup of other commercial items and creation of non-existing items...

:cool_2:

Due to illegal use of my copyrighted artworks by user Obironkenobi, aka Randy Ayers, aka rdmeyersr, selling my creations on this page : http://public.fotki.com/Obironkenobi/us ... decal.html , I'm deleting the preview file I posted yesterday.

Obviously this user managed to crack the password PROTECTED Pdf file I uploaded on megaupload years ago. Remember what I told about chinese mugs ?

What's more important there is that if you wish to use my material, JUST ASK ME. :flamed: :flamed:

(wrong name edited)

Thieves will be thieves... Hopefully most people are honest. That may be a little reductionist. I believe that the forum's spirit is to share eachother our work and passion.

Oh, I don't mind helping out the forum, I added a small hangar drawing in the CASF thread for CVN-65 because I wanted to help. I also try to offer my insight into the ships I model when I can. But I also offer full sets of drawings for sale of other ships and people constantly ask if I offer the drawings in digital format. They even offer to pay more for them. I have steadfastly refused every advance that way because I know how easy it is to share digital files. Paper drawings are one thing, but my digital files stay with me.

If it was paper I could help you out, but unfortunately not decals. :heh: You could always find a high DPI photo printer and use paper from this place: http://www.decalpaper.com/.

I know what you meant, I don't particularly want to do decals myself either. Cheaper can be a two edged sword I think. Good luck over there, maybe you can get some Dragon and Trumpeter kits on the cheap.

Hangar plans are not complete. They're still waiting for me to draw topside views and cutaways. I'll post later on my other thread when they'll be ready to ship and how to get them. :wave_1:

Rouyax,

I was on Enterprise the week of her inactivation ceremony and took well over 1,000 pics of the old girl.
I did have the privilege at the ceremony of meeting the artist who painted one of the murals that graced the dividing doors years ago.
I also have an acquaintance on another forum who was crewed on Enterprise and helped me a little with the hangar deck.

While I'm not saying that I've got a pic or an angle that you don't already have, it might be worth comparing notes.

I'd love to use your hangar signage decals for my build.

After being away for a while from the forum, I come back to see my name being slandered as a thief. In no way did I copy any decals from anyone nor offer them for sale from my Fotki site. Anyone who asked for my files was denied access to them and I never profited from any of the artwork I produced, not the Enterprise art nor any of the other files on the site. As for the similarities in the set up. Hogwash. I made a scale drawing of the Hangar walls and using references I found on the net and in various books, placed them in the appropriate positions for my reference when I printed them. I have access to the USS Lexington and made several trips down to Corpus Christi to see her. I made most of my hangar artwork (placard, warnings etc.) from photos I took of her hanger walls and used them to suit my purposes. Since I was also building the CVN65 as a 1980's era carrier, my airwing decals did not correspond to anyone else's art. I am a professional graphic artist so I created vector based art of all my files using photos and other reference material gathered from the US NAVY and other books such as AIRWING ENTERPRISE, etc...
The only reason I removed the files from my Fotki site was due to unreasonable threats and intimidation from someone on this board. Looking back, I shouldn't have taken them down at all. Especially since the offending person has freely admitted using other's templates in the creation of his airwing and carrier decals. See page one of this original thread... As for my artwork of the AIMD and paintings of the Enterprise throughout the years, I had several people send me color images of the paintings which I scanned and imported into my files. Any lines or walkways were taken and created directly from scans of the kit to ensure proper fit of the decals. ALL airwing artwork was originally created to fit the TAMIYA aircraft which I scanned the box art and resized to actual size to use as a layered template. ALL Walkways and markings on the aircraft were created using this method.
This will probably be the last time for me on this board. So those of you who jumped on his bandwagon without knowing or questioning me concerning my methods of doing my artwork can take a long walk off Elevator 4... For those of you who emailed me in the past and asked about my art work, thanks for asking but the files will not ever be released.

If anyone is interested in viewing my process, look me up on FOTKI.
