Have you released set 35005F1 for the Ticonderoga CV-14 Essex Class? I do not see it listed on your website. If so, have you sent some sets to FreeTimeHobbies as I normally purchase through them?

Yep Brandon ordered All Essex class sets fully.
And he may have 35004f1 Yorktown now.
Now we are editing Instruction manuals of 35005F1 Ticonderoga 1944 and 35006F1 Essex 1943 set at the same time and I think we will formally release at 6th July for both 35005F1 and 35006F1 at the same day.

One question, has it been confirmed that Essex had just the one catapult as built? There was a discussion on this site or the other one a year or two back that she actually was commissioned with two. I always thought she only had the one as built, but some folks were very vociferous that she always had two. Has there been resolution on this point?

CVL is also a good choice.
Same Blue deck tone with Essex class.

Essex has one Catapult at least from Dec. 42 to the end of WWII or to Korean War.
And additional port side Catapult(fitted after WWII or 50's) is longer than that of WWII era Essex class.

So our Essex 1943 Detail up set has one Catapult.

Finally Finally we've finalized the first Essex Class project with releasing CV-14 Ticonderoga 1944 and CV-9 Essex 1943 Detail up sets.

MR Kim. would it be possiable to give us a list and @date for upcomming sets? i for one would put my kits on hold if i knew what and when you will be releasing them. for example on my shelf is scharnhorst, bismarck,tirpitz, hipper, Queen Elizabeth, Z25/39,lexinton and a few more!!!

Try with 35006F1 CV-9 Essex Class 1943, this set can realize CV-12 Hornet 1944 version.
All necessary PE, decals and Masking sheets are included for CV-12.

If you're taking requests, how about doing one of your full on super sets like these for the Hasegawa 1/350 Akagi? I've been waiting too long for the WEM vapourware set.

Went down to the NATS today and could not walk away without one. I got the Yorktown update and was not disappointed, even though the display was a little worse for wear the quality and amount of pieces is outstanding. If you are thinking about one of these sets, do yourself a favor and just get one.

I got to see these in person at the NATS. I was tempted, I have to admit. If I didn't have both GMM sets for my '43 Essex, I'd have considered it. One thing I'd like to have seen, though, are replacements for the splinter shields on the bridge levels and AA gun positions. I've had to sand and shape every one on the Essex as the kit parts are too thick, and often have a nasty mold seam. It'd be a lot more brass, of course, but if you're going to go this far, then I figure you should go all the way.

If you guys ever do a CV-2 Lexington set, I'll definitely get one.

My only comment after seeing this photo - isn't the deck too dark for the mid-war flight deck stain? Shouldn't the decks be more "Ocean Gray-ish" than "Deck Blue-ish" for 1943 into mid-1944? I traded with someone for a CVL-22 deck, and while the deck is beautiful, it's the the same thing - it's deck blue. I am not sure if that is the correct color for the time frame.

You can rely on this tone of blue deck because I got real plank sample from Essex....(Joke!)

But I think the real deck blue is more darker than ours.
We selected this tone because we are sure taht it is easier work to make tone be lighter than darker from light.
Just enjoy our blue deck.
