Hi.

I've been a long time reader of this forum so I guess it's time to share some builds aswell.

Revell Tirpitz with Eduard BigEd etch set, pontos wooden deck, some WEM hatches, portholes , reels and some scratch build things used.
Still missing couple of AA guns and some minor details but otherwise calling it finished for now.
I mostly build for fun and historical accuracy isn't the highest priority on my builds though I like to use reference material when available
but I don't lose my mind over it.

Construction took about 5 months on and off the projects while waiting etches etc. to arrive.
Pretty time consuming build as the seams were pretty obvious and had to be filled and sanded smooth.
All in all still enjoyable build and with time and etches can make pretty grand model.

I use mostly Mr. Gunze acrylic colors for airbrushing and vallejo acrylics for detail painting.
Washes and filters from AK are used heavily aswell.
Main workhorse I use is Iwata's Custom Micron CM-B which I've fallen in love with :cool_2:

Photos are taken with the camera of my mobile so not super high quality but I hope good enough to see something.

I most likely start my first work in progress thread of my next project.

Comments are welcome ofcourse in good and in bad :heh:

Incredible work...that really did turn out great! Museum-quality in my book.

It's a horrible shame that so many great ships and men were under the command of such a malevolent government.
(Though...one must realize that it is directly because of such a government that many of these ships ever existed).

Very Well done sir, truly an impressive work! The Tirpitz has some fine lines and was a very strong ship,a strength which you have portrayed in an excellent work.

Would it be possible to post some more pictures of the Starboard side of the ship,I am curious as to the paintwork on that side.
Thanks for sharing your work,

Great looking Tirpitz. It seems like the Revell kit is far better than the old Tamiya. I was trying to figure out what you actually added to the kit for this result? Looks like i am going to have to spring for one of these kits now!
