Progress have been made.

Windows are painted black then thinned down Kristal Klear added.

I'll try to finish the whole aft section today.
Missing some details (liferafts ladders etc.) and some railings and whip antennas (will put them on after the whole model finished though).

Edit: Noticed the 5 net safetynetting on the helopad had 2 different sizes so I'm gonna reposition them again.

More details. Almost done with the aft section. RBU launchers still to go ( 16 small etch parts / launcher ) when I have the courage to start it.

I guess I need to start to work on the bridge section next (I hate the clear parts trumpeter decided to use, can't see if the seams are gone and whatnot).

Worked on the bridge superstructure a bit.

Fit was pretty good (better than I hoped) and it fit the deck perfectly.
There were couple of seams in not so easy to see places so I left them alone as
sanding the clear plastic isn't really my fortee.

Some major progress on the front superstructure and the base aswell.

Pretty hard to get any good pics because of bad lighting but I'll try to work on that one atleast when it's finished.

hi..it's a great job, many compliments :thumbs_up_1:
I have a question...Maybe the helicopter is over? ... looks too big compared to the hangar, don't you think?

Hi

The helo is actually pretty big in real life though it might be a bit out of scale. The hangar roofs open aswell when the helo is stored.
I tried to find a photo showing that but couldn't find it for now.
Here's a photo of the helo on the deck though.

The hangar is inclined. The front end is much lower than the aft end.

Koppalakki (is that Finish?) very good job. Please take in mind that the star on the bow is red and that the anchors are black... :wink_3.gif :wink_3.gif

Yes it is.

There's a lot of small details still left unpainted so no worries at this moment on them :cool_2:

On a side note working on the middle superstructure atm sanding the seam and it fits very nicely to the deck.

Phew.

Edit:

Couple of shots

Painted some details.

Firstly painted dark gray to represent the parts of railings that are wired.
Lifepreservers got a new coat of gloss orange to help them stand out a bit.

The railing look I was after

Some more sneak peaks

Ship will be attached with 2 screws to the base to "tighten" it up. Will add some acrylic gel to tie it to the base when I decide it's finished enough though.

Outstanding. I love the look you got with the railings. It couldn`t have been easy to create.

Regards, Dave
