Pontosmodel 1/350 USS Iowa Class Detail Up Sets

As posted, 35008F1 New Jesrsey 1982 and 35009F1 Missouri 1991 version have been shipped to and sold by almost dealers and distributors of Pontosmodel.
Now we are finilizing 35007F1 Iowa 1984 and 35010F1 Wisconsin 1991 version. And I hope you can meet these by 15th October. And 35011F1 Missouri BATTLESHIP version also will be available with Iowa and Wisconsin.

I really hope this helps. Missouri's darkened hull numbers.

Notice RPV domes are bit darker, but still grey.

Notice, "Nixie", access ports.

I realized my zeal has not been controlled. My apologies. Finally, your company took the bull by the horns!
Here is the "seaway", I've spoken of before.

The simple truth is, Tamiya missed this altogether on 1/350 WWII Missouri and the 1/350 Modern Big J.
The cover art of Summrall's, "Iowa Class Battleships", book showed this very obvious opening in the superstructure that was pretty hard to miss. I noticed and corrected thusly. The exact areas to be corrected on the kit is shown below.

Hull numbers were printed white with black back.
These are dry tranfer so I hope modelers would make dark grey effect with careful brush touch.(some harder work)

I think these Seaways are up to Modelers not realized by detail up set.
Modelers (including we) should study and study for the more perfection always.

I am confident it's going to be a great set. I will be doing a 2010 USS Iowa. I am not sure which, USS Iowa or USS Missouri I would buy. Perhaps the bull nose bun tub would make the difference. However, in order to accommodate modern heay helicopters like the CH-53E and V-22, the enlarged stern flight deck represented in the Missouri is awfully attractive! I already have RAM mounts, SPQ-9B, and modern coms domes to flesh out the rest of the modernization.

For Iowa latest version, you need to get Stern deck of PE/Woodendeck combination set of Wisconsin instead of Iowa 1984 version's...
For this you should contact us for customizing order at only specfied season.
The customizing cost is quite much than you think.
This season will start from Next week.

Navydave, how did you get your 1/350 MK71 MCLWG gun mounts? I'd love to get several of those myself for my "what if" builds? I'll be following your USS IOWA 2012 build with great interest, I'd like to do a similar build as the USS WISCONSIN. This Coastie is a big IOWA class junkie.

I don't understand what pelican hook means.

I'll see if I can get you a picture of what I'm talking about. I mentioned it as an extreme example of what you might be capable of doing. You do the difficult very well, so, possibly, you would be able to do the virtually impossibe, at 1/350 scale.
