Well, it is still a "ship"...sort of!

This is the first non-"ship" model I have built in years. I loved the new Battlestar Galactica series, and figured the Mobius kit of the BSG would be a fun build. I built this OOB, and it was a quick fun build. The fit is good, but the seams (if you choose to deal with them, I left em alone) will be a bear to sand and fill.

The chipped owrn paint effect was done by spraying a highly thinned coat of dark grey acrylic over a silver enamel coat, then before the grey was done drying, I blotted the paint job with masking tape to pull off random chuinks of the grey.

For a quick fun build to take a break from ships, I def recommend this kit.

Here's an old F16 I did years ago, with an A4 that I just did this week. (1/72)

Nice work, Carl! Very inventive.

I recently completed a space subject as well. More photos on my website: http://www.devinjpoore.com/models/xwing/index.htm

There's some great work here. I have a plan to do the Jupiter 2 in the desert with some 50's era military action going on. Like a Roswell kind of thing.

Unfortunately, you are %100 right, I'm aware of the fact that there is unnecessary weathering, but this is the first model that I used salt weathering technique.

But from now on, I will definitely tell people, that my awesome robotic dog bite it

Nice take on an Excelsior, though I have to say it looks odd without the typical colours on the Nacelles... she looks powered down, though the Impulse Engines are fully lit.

Being a huge Star Trek fan I love these.
I don't think I'll go this rout with the 1/350 I'm planning on building.
