OK, I figure if we like virtual ships I'll start posting one I know of. There's a guy doing a model of the Pennsy here that could use some good comments from time to time to keep him going.

yeah, cool thread he has going. that'd be awesome to be able to do that...but a pain. I tried my hand at 3dsMax5 and didn't like it... too complex and yet not enough options.

Good Lord! How much time does he have in that? He must have hundreds of hours in those drawings. The chain alone must have taken a number of hours. Great work. :Mad_6:

The 3D programs usually help things like that go fairly quickly. Just model a tube, bend it, and array it.. or whatever the 3D Max etc term for that is.
