Request for a video

Hi, and thanks for taking time to read my post. Obviously, some modelers do the bulk of the painting, even with an airbrush, after the model is assembled, or at least assembled into its main sub-assemblies. I have never been able to figure out how to manage this. Obviously, a good deal of masking is going to be required. But, what about delicate, easily dislodged parts, PE, etc.? My technique so far has been to airbrush the bulk of the parts on the parts trees, and PE on the frets, then touch up as needed after assembly. Clearly, this method has its drawbacks.

If you of you gifted modelers could do a short video showing your technique for painting, preferably airbrushing, after assembly or after the main sub-assemblies are completed, this would be of immense value to me in trying to learn this technique, but I suspect, a lot of others like me who simply have not figured out how to do this yet.

I realize that this is a major request and that producing such a video would be no small effort. But, it would in turn be a fantastic, and as far as I can find unique, reference piece that would be of great value.

In the absence of anybody brave and generous enough to attempt a video of this, how about a good, simple, explanation of the process you use. Something basic enough that a noob could grasp it, but thorough enough to be a decent guide to attempting the process.
