Hi, Bernd!

The illuminator's frames on your hull are looked very realistic!

But let me argue with you a little bit.

The Bismark's hull had no illuminators (portholes) in armored plates! The armored plates were located greatly below!
Please, look at the attached photo. It shows approx. Spt 25. There you can see the position of the armor plates (they are riveted) and rain rails (coamings) above the portholes.

Hi Anatoly,

Bow:
These areas include the shell plating of the hull above the bow armour (60 mm) and reaches up to the 50 mm upper deck armour. Its reaches forward as far as the 50 mm upper deck armour exists and it goes back to the citadel armour. This was made of 35 mm WhnA and towards the stem of 20 mm.

Stern:
These areas include the shell plating of the hull above the stern armour (80 mm) and reaches up to the 50 mm upper deck armour. Its reaches backwards frame 10.5 and it goes forward to the citadel armour. This was made of 35 mm WhnA.

Bye,

Bernd.

Ok, Bernd, I think it was my fault - I find a short info about 35 mm in my book.

With best regards-
Anatoly.

This is really one amazing piece of work you have made here. The dedication is mindblowing for the time period already spend on the hull alone so far!
Well done!! Looking forward to see more of this :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Hello, 109. I am from China, I am sorry, I do not understand English, can only rely on the translation software and your dialogue. It's a shock to see your model! I am also preparing to do a 1:200 Bismarck, want to learn from you, do a little more, but I do not have a very detailed information on the information, I hope to get your help, you can share your drawings to me?

Hi mzlzr,

I don't have the drawings you mentioned above . You should buy that book. However that drawing seems to be of Tirpitz!!
As for details of Bismarck : there aren't drawings available that shows all details . You need to research all sources and draw your own conclusions!
In 1/2ooth scale most details are so small that you can neglect them.

Also my build report shows all areas in detail.

Okay? Bye

Thank you for your reply! Because I am not on the side of the majority of the site, plus the lack of information, so my work has become very difficult. I now have a set of Trumpeter Bismarck 1:200 and PHONTOS27001F super modified, see your work after I feel I am not good enough, I hope to learn from you. I am also considering doing a 1:100, all copper construction, hope you can help! Can you tell me the name of the book? What other Bismarck or Tirpitz's data is available?

Thank you very much!
