In some navies the liferafts and boats were painted the same as the surrounding superstructure colors - even when the pattern was split into two colors. Can't verify if this is true about WWll German craft, though. :wave_1:

Nice build. What PE set are you using for her. I've never seen anything like that build up for the TT. I want to compliment you on your PE work by the way, very nice and clean.

I'm using BIG ED. I bought them a couple months ago when it was available.

http://www.eduard.com/store/Eduard/GERM ... 96576df789

I'm waiting for the chains. Probably I will have chains in the next week. When I get chains I will start painting so I will be very gratefull if someone check color which I chose

lower hull - mix vallejo flat red with vallejo hull red or mix tamiya xf -7 with xf - 9
upper hull and superstructure xf-20
waterline and funnels top - xf-1
dark grey deck - xf-24
wooden deck - xf-78
brown on the boat - xf- 79
rafts ???? any sugestion  On polish forum one guy told me that xf-55 will be good but in my opiniom rafts should be in different color

I agree, the left chain. The right looks somewhat overscale.

Nice work!

PE rafts I decited to use xf55 and xf79. There should be 42 but eduard gave only 39 :mad_1: On torpedo tubes and opposite funnels I will glue two not three.

My favourite pet peeves. I hate using masking type

It drives me mad :mad_1:

but on the other hand I have......

Tedious work, to be sure, but a nice effect on those life rafts. Great job and good thinking.
