Hello,

I finished the battleship BB-59. There are more than fix it in dock-floating and complete the implementation of all of the barges in closing the sea.

The diorama will be completed in two or three weeks.

Bonjour à tous,

Well, the dock is completely finished with gateways and fixed cranes and landscaped wedge bottom.

The ship is secured in position and the mooring lines are in place.

The sailors are all in a position. Still me have a dozen to excite at the last moment.

Tomorrow, I start the sea and the establishment of the barges and moorings and it will finish.

I'm super happy with the result. I'm working on this project for 18 months and last 15 days or need to assemble and put in place the various elements are magical.

Go place in today's pictures:

Unbelieveably fantastic work!!! A breathtaking diorama! :worship_1: :worship_1: :worship_1:
To pull of such a huge project at this level of quality is simply amazing!

I'm looking forward to the finished sea also. At this pint, that is the only thing that doesn't fit to my eye, as the colour is now too 'purple-ish' to harmonize with the rest of the dio, and the texture is too much looking like the crumbled aluminum foil I'm guessing it is. But I'm sure this will still change a lot!

Cheers,

Marijn

Hello,

So after 18 months of work, the diorama is completed. Finally almost, it lacks even a few lines to implement, but I would do later.

Sorry, to bags and taken power in the background. But I'm too tired to go back upstairs and redo photos.

Thank you for having followed this post for these 18 months.

Photos place: there are 50. But there are so many items to show.

I normally don't like super-weathered ships, but wow. This works so well with the ABSD and massive overhaul effort by the assorted vessels and crew. Beautiful work. I absolutely love what is done here.

Simply stunning!!

I hate to be "that guy", but my single nit-pick is the flag location. When a commisioned ship is moored or anchored (which I believe would include being dry docked), the flag should be displayed at the flagstaff on the fantail (and the Union Jack at the jackstaff on the bow).

Other than that detail, this is one of the most impressive (and unique) projects yet. Very, very nice.

Cheers,

Keith

I've said it already but absolutely one of the most incredible dioramas I've ever seen!

Any idea how many hours went into it?

Simply breathtaking!
Not only the amount of work is enormously impressive but so is the quality of execution.
I like very much how you managed to get an excellent composition with this longitudinal subject. Everything came together beautifully! 'Masterpiece' is often an overused word, but this diorama truly is one!
:worship_1: :worship_1: :worship_1:

Can't wait to see the next project… :)

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback on this diorama. It is really nice to you and especially artist as Marijn.

For the next, this will be the IJN FUSO to 1/350th with a staged close to the next photo:

Image

For the crane, I use the one that must take the Alliance ModelWorks 1/350th. But everything will depend on the deadline for sale of this article. Otherwise, I would do the designs myself to make PE.

Thanks again to you all and I wish you good holidays of end of the year.

Best regard.
Alain.

Ah, a more relaxed build, I see.

Superb work all around. Astounding, actually.

Wow, very interesting subject too!

I think the ship covered in scaffolding will look absolutely great. I'm looking forward how you wil tackle the scaffolding, as I always wanted to do Soryu like this:

Enjoy!
