Hi, I've been advised that the Aurora can indeed be built as a full hull or waterline, can you confirm this is true?

thanks

My Chung King kit can be built as waterline or full hull model. I guess that the kits should be identical in this regard.

Yes, either.

There is a waterline "plate" (part B-1) with weight OR an underwater full hull (part C-1 - with very fine propellers) which look to need a very sharp pair of cutters to get away from the sprues as Flyhawk have gone to GREAT efforts to fed the plastic into the complicated propeller shapes.

Every time I look at the sprues/pieces I am more impressed.

The plain vanilla  Akitsumaru is now up on Hobby Search.
Same price as the Kanmusu version, interestingly.

Hello Quaestor,
as I just ordered those kits for my shop, I can tell you that SD stands for Super Detail. So there should be a PE sheet included.
Best regrads,

New company SnowmanModel from China has announced the following three in new tooled injection plastic:

1/700 Cleveland Class CL
1/700 Independence Class CVL
1/700 Brooklyn Class CL

Link also shows some cool resin stuff. PLAN ships, Soviet supply ship, and what looks like HMS Queen Elizabeth CV.
UN-altered REPRODUCTION and DISSEMINATION of this IMPORTANT Information is ENCOURAGED, ESPECIALLY to COMPUTER BULLETIN BOARDS.

Thanks Hanchang!

Regarding the modern two-island carrier, it looks like the latest model of Russia's future carrier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SaEO2H9Tps
The single-island carrier may be their interpretation of China's upcoming indigenous carrier with combination ski-jump and catapult.

Thanks Timmy for the clarification. However Snowman also mentioned release of QE will be 'a little bit later'.

French frigate Aquitaine class, 1/700

Italian battleship Dante Alighieri, 1/700

Would love to see all that released in 1/350 someday. Working on a PLAN ship at the moment, trumpys Type 51C. Is it true that as of late the PLAN has dropped the PLAN monkier is has started referring to themselves as the Chinese Navy?

Revell have announced a German F122 class frigate in the odd scale of 1/300.

They must be mad to use that scale rather than 1/350. I might have bought one in the latter scale but not 1/300.

The F122 should be a repop of an old kit they used to make: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/143733- ... 122-bremen
